Great all in one January 2, 2009 Cheap Charlie Works great with Max OS X Tiger 10.4. I downloaded the latest drivers from Canon, but not sure that was necessary. Had a little trouble printing from Preview or iPhoto until I found somewhere that it said to use the "Standard" preset instead of selecting the paper type. This unit replaced my fax, photo printer, and scanner, and the document feeder works great for work purposes. The software is very easy to use, much better than the software that came with my old Epson scanner. Love the fax -- can just leave my answering machine on, and if a fax comes in, the Canon picks it up.
Worked great right out of the box! January 2, 2009 R. Jackson Easy setup, and easy to figure out the 4 basic functions.
Replaced an Epson that failed after only 1 1/2 years.
Nice, basic color printer December 29, 2008 Pamela Darrah (Illinois) We purchased this for light use. Our small office uses it for the occasional color copy and as an "extra" printer that guests at our office can use or we can take along with us to a trade show. We are not using the fax features at all. It is working fine. Occasionally, it feeds a piece of paper just a little crooked, but I'm not sure if that is the printer or us not putting it in carefully.
Our usage is so light, we are still using the starter ink so I have no feedback on maintenance.
good printer December 26, 2008 L. Smith (Boston, MA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Consumer Reports rated this printer's previous model tops; when that model was unavailable, I bought this one for my son. He likes it, but he hasn't commented in detail, so neither can I.
Better than the HP December 12, 2008 John D. Longwell (Denver, CO United States) This is a great little all-in-one printer. I have a very small office space and it fits perfectly on a lamp table next to my desk. It operates efficiently and, compared the HP in my main office, quietly. It's not the fastest thing in the world, but speed was not what I was looking for. Printing quality is very good. I had a question about scanning and the customer service people (in the U.S.!) were quite helpful.
I like this printer much better than the HP L7700 and wish I'd done more research before buying the other.
