AWSOME January 6, 2009 E. Eddy This device works flawlessly with my Uwatec Tec2G dive computer. Very easy to install. I am one happy customer!
Perfectly fine December 23, 2008 C. Schneck Inexpensive, works well. I switched computers to one with no built-in IR port. This did the job and allowed uploads of my Polar data.
Exactly what I was looking for. December 13, 2008 John Bugajski (rochester, ny United States) Like most people reviewing this item, I was looking for an USB IR adapter to use with my Polar heart rate monitor. My last laptop had a built in IR port and I didn't even think about it when I got my new computer. I am running Vista and had absolutely no problems installing or using this adapter. It works flawlessly with the Polar software. At $40 cheaper than the Polar uplink unit, this is a great value.
Works well, have to stop it before removing. November 24, 2008 Bryan Richter (SF Bay Area, CA) Just have to remember to use the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon from the system tray. If I don't it crashes the system about half the time. I'd give it five stars if I didn't have to do this.
Other than that, it works perfectly. I've been using this one for over a year, linking to a Polar HRM Watch.
Great device at a decent price October 12, 2008 Aaron M. Brown (Honolulu, Hawaii) After reading all of the review I settled on the Cables Unlimitted IRDA port. I put in the software, plugged in the USB IRDA port with the included USB extender cord and it worked like a charm. This is my first encounter with a IRDA port and it was most pleasent.
