Hawking works OK should have longer USB cord January 6, 2009

The unit improves the signal ok & the only reason for a 4 rating is that it's only got a 3 ft cord. After spending the money there should be an option pushing the 33Ft length. Reception definitely improved.

Purchased as a gift for Mom. She wasn't connecting wireless in the house with her desktop. Hooked up this bad boy and now she can even get her neighborhood friend down the streets connection with more than 50%. I almost didnt get this product and went with the vertical directional antenna. Then I was at Newegg and saw all the great reviews on this piece and had to get it.
Glad I did! Every ones happy when Mom is.

We have a weekend getaway home and monthly internet costs just are not justified by the amount of time we spend here. My neighbor two houses away let me use this item to access his wireless network and I must say, it's as if I am sitting in his living room instead of two houses away. Wish it was wireless instead of usb, but what the hey, I'm saving monthly internet fees.

i use to have a dlink dwa-160 ...and it was always on "low", decided to get this and gave me a "very good" signal. Would definetely recommend this product!
